How much will you walk away with?

Put in your price and what you owe. The calculator subtracts commission, the South Carolina deed recording fee, and the usual closing costs, so you can see a rough net before we ever talk numbers.

How is the South Carolina deed recording fee figured?

It’s $1.85 for every $500 of the sale price, or part of $500: $1.30 goes to the state and $0.55 to the county, according to the SC Department of Revenue. On a $350,000 sale that’s $1,295. The calculator works it out for you.

How accurate is this estimate?

It’s a starting point, not a settlement statement. Your closing attorney prepares the real numbers, including exact payoff amounts, tax prorations and fees. Use this to see the big pieces, then we’ll go through your own numbers together.

Does the calculator save what I type?

No. It runs only in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to me or stored anywhere.
